Construction
Choose if you want to do the pouch or the soft toy version. Follow the instructions for the version you choose.
Pouch only : Start by working the pocket flap that goes inside of the bear to keep the pouch in place.
All versions : Then the body of the bear is worked in the round. Ears and mouth are worked separately then sewn on the bear.
Material :
Yarn :
2 strands fingering bouclé yarn
1 strand weight 3 yarn
Black yarn or embroidery floss for the eyes and nose details.
5mm circular needle
3x5mm straight circular needles (for 3-needles bind-off)
Tapestry needle
Measuring tape
Scissors
Filling (for the soft toy version)
Stitch marker
Gauge : 15x21st for 10x10cm
Made to fit a heat pouch that is 15x10cm. I used the Olympia heat pack (not sponsored), but you can use any heat pack you have that fits the size. You can sew an insert for the bear if you don’t have a heat pocket. Create a 15x10cm pouch with either raw rice or flaxseed in a cotton fabric to make a microwavable heat pack. You can use the yarn and needle you want, just be sure that it fits the gauge or the size you want.
